The Hibbert Sight Solution SystemTM

Acupuncture for Health

Dr. Jackson is committed to serving as an active part of your Expanded Care Team. She uses her skills and knowledge in acupuncture and Eastern Medicine to uncover the root cause of your health problem and resolve the obstacles blocking your healing process.

Acupuncture can relieve signs and symptoms of many health problems. It improves the body’s functions and activates the natural self-healing process. It can also strengthen and support the body to prevent future illness and disease. The most common method used is to stimulate specific anatomic sites—commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints, by inserting tiny, sterile, disposable needles into the skin. By stimulating the body’s various systems, acupuncture can help to resolve pain, improve sleep, digestion, immunity, and overall sense of well-being. Modern research has demonstrated acupuncture’s effects on the nervous system, endocrine system, immune systems, cardiovascular system, digestive system, and limbic system.

Ophthalmological Acupuncture

Dr. Jackson is a trained ophthalmic assistant. She is trained in three different and complimentary methods of acupuncture to treat eye disease: AcuNova, AcuChronic and AcuDNA by the inventor, Prof. Dr. John Boel of Denmark. These are groundbreaking new forms of acupuncture, based on science and modern research, to treat vision loss, degenerative eye disease and resolve pain. They act via the body’s own nervous system, endocrine system, immune system, limbic system and brain to promote blood circulation, activate cellular repair and regeneration, and maintain a balanced and stable internal environment.

AcuNova acupuncture was invented in the 1990s and its been used on over 6000 eye patients worldwide for treating many eye conditions and diseases including:

• Dry and Wet Macular Degeneration (AMD)
• Glaucoma
• Retinitis Pigmentosa
• Diabetic Retinopathy
• Ocular Myasthenia Gravis
• Other eye diseases

This intensive treatment involves acupuncture points primarily in the hands and feet that are not associated with any other acupuncture system. Needles are NEVER placed in the eyes.

The initial assessment series consists of two (2) sessions a day, for 10 days over a two-week period. Baseline vision evaluation will be obtained prior to starting the therapy, and repeated at the end of the series. These evaluations are used to assess visual improvement produced by the therapy, not to diagnose specific eye conditions or disease processes.

Auriculotherapy

Auriculotherapy is a unique form of acupuncture and involves the stimulation of the surface of the auricle, the outer portion of the ear exclusively using acupuncture needles, electrical stimulation, Vaccaria seeds and/or probes. Auricular acupuncture is a safe and cost-effective therapy used widely for pain control and addictions of all kinds. It has also been clinically proven to help with migraines, stress, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, allergies, PMS, weight loss, and vision problems.

NADA Auricular Acupuncture

The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocol is one of the most common forms of acupuncture used in the US. The treatment involves the bilateral insertion of tiny, disposable, sterile needles at specific ear points. NADA is used to relieve symptoms of withdrawal from heroin, cocaine, opioids, alcohol and tobacco. NADA is shown to be effective for symptoms of PTSD, trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, anger, impaired concentration, insomnia, headaches, body aches and pain.

Auricular Ear Seeds

Traditional ear seeds are from the flowering vaccaria herb and are used to stimulate pressure points on the auricle of the ear. They are a type of auriculotherapy, which uses acupressure focused on specific points and protocols on the surface of the outer ear. They are based on the same general principles as auricular acupuncture but involve acupressure. Ear seeds are a safe and cost-effective therapy used worldwide for: chronic pain; insomnia and other sleep issues; depression; anxiety; stress; migraines, addiction, weight loss; dizziness; vertigo and eye problems.

Microcurrent Stimulation Therapy

Acupuncture points and other areas of the body are stimulated using safe, gentle electrical microcurrent to reduce pain, promote circulation, improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, stimulate cellular activity and encourage tissue regeneration.

Functional Medicine

Dr. Jackson is completing specialized training and certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) to become an IFM Certified Practitioner (IFMCP). The Functional Medicine model is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that addresses the underlying causes of disease and promotes optimal health and wellness. It requires a detailed understanding of each patient’s health history, lifestyle and behavioral factors; and leverages this information to direct personalized treatment plans that lead to better patient outcomes.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition as an important prevention and treatment for chronic disease, to include chronic degenerative eye disease. Dr. Jackson has completed over 300 hours in postgraduate level training in nutrition. Dr. Jackson combines the best principles and concepts of clinical nutrition, Oriental nutrition, holistic nutrition and functional medicine nutrition. Dr. Jackson uses food as a first-line therapy in her approach to optimal health and wellness by applying a personalized, whole-person, nutrition care process. She uses food as medicine to promote health and healing, and to prevent diet and lifestyle-related diseases.

Far Infrared (FIR) Thermal Heat Therapy

The FIR Thermal Heat Therapy utilizes the principles and technology of heat to promote circulation, increase blood flow and vasodilation, temporary relief of minor muscle pains and tension, and to boost the immune system.

Photobiomodulation Therapy or LED Light Therapy

Photobiomodulation (PBM) Therapy or Light Therapy involves the application of specific scientifically-proven wavelengths of light energy to treat a variety of medical and cosmetic concerns including pain, skin conditions, inflammation and wound healing. It improves tissue and cellular health by activating and accelerating circulation, cell repair and cell regeneration. It is safe, clinically proven, FDA approved and non-invasive.

Medical Qi Gong

Medical Qi Gong involves specific movements, patting techniques and breathing exercises that improve circulation, strengthen the organ systems, and promote health and vitality.
